Sunderland City of Love – Campaign Brand Identity & Rollout
Pixel 6 Designs was commissioned by Sunderland City Council to create the full visual identity for their City of Love – Love is in the Air campaign, a city-wide celebration launching in February 2026.
The project began with the development of a bespoke brand identity, including a custom campaign logo and a cohesive visual style designed to feel warm, welcoming, and distinctly “Sunderland.” From there, the work expanded into a full suite of assets — social graphics, print materials, large-format screens, event signage, and promotional illustrations.
In addition to the core branding, I also designed the City of Love Trail Map, guiding visitors through a series of themed experiences and attractions across the city.
The campaign is now live, with visuals appearing throughout Sunderland, including large digital displays in Keel Square.
This project perfectly blended placemaking, storytelling, and design — and it was a pleasure to bring the concept to life.
